Battery tenders are the best!

Another home run from Deltran! I have been using Battery Tender trickle chargers for many years and I am very satisfied. Based on some of the published reviews and questions, I'm not sure all people fully understand the purpose of these chargers. It is not intended to be used as a main charger to charge a dead battery. This is used to keep the battery charged while the vehicle or device is idle. It can stay connected all the time and won't overcharge the battery. I use this on my utility trailer which has a built in deep cycle battery to power the winch and interior lights. When the trailer is not in use I rely on the battery pack to keep the battery as charged as possible. Since the trailer is parked outside, I opted for a moisture-proof device. People often ask if it's waterproof - the short answer is no. It has an international rating of IP67 (6 = dustproof and 7 = protected against submersion to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and while it's certainly resistant to the elements (mine's been out for almost eighteen months now), it wouldn't be too recommend. leave it where it is constantly wet or submerged in water. The charger comes with a wire harness with typical alligator clips for temporary connection and a wire harness with ring terminals for permanent installation. The wiring harness is particularly useful when access to the battery is difficult: after installation, it remains in the car and you only need to connect the charger to the wiring harness. I highly recommend these chargers.
