I like the look of the unit but it is advertised that it can work with a 1-1/4" fuse if it doesn't is possible. The problem is that the clips are notched to prevent the fuses from slipping. The manufacturers do not seem to have taken this into account when distancing themselves. The largest fuse that will actually fit is 1.22", which is 0.03" less than the standard requires. Worse, I've found that fuse manufacturers tend to go a little long, averaging 1.27 inches long. So it is clear that standard AGC fuses will not work in these blocks. I contacted the manufacturer and they responded, but the response was that they should test fuses with shorter lifespans than the ones I use and that they are investigating their manufacturing process. They suggested I get a replacement from whoever I bought them from but as I bought 2 units and they were both short I am assuming the replacements will be short as well. Since I didn't notice this until the blocks were in place, I changed the clips. I managed to file the dent on one side and can now use the standard backup. If it weren't for those poor tolerances I would have given it a much better rating.
