Review on Xiaomi Mijia Mi Home Induction Cooker, white by Edyta Osinowska ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

A very double impression of the device and a slight disappointment with the assembly quality of xiaomi electronics. On the one hand, delight, for 4500 the working surface is like in adult built-ins and good power, on the other hand, if you are not friends with a soldering iron and have sensitive hearing and will live nearby, it is better to bypass this model or at least listen to it when buying by turning on In standby. Otherwise, you will have to be disappointed, constantly pull the plug out of the socket, or turn to the Kulibins. The problem is most likely solved by replacing some of the capacitors and / or impregnating the chokes with resin. It is a very good option for moonshiners, but you will have to tinker with the program to unlock temperatures of 80-110 degrees, everything is written on the front. I’ll leave the device for myself - as soon as my hands reach, I’ll finalize the electronics and figure out how to protect the board from leakage in the sensor. An aged person may not hear the frequencies at which the device beeps. With age, high frequencies become less audible. P. There is also a European version. Makes all the same sounds as Chinese. The Chinese went to her parents in the village and lo and behold! In the rural power grid, the squeak remained in standby mode, but when heated, even at the maximum, now the tile emits only a low-frequency hum, which completely merges with the fan noise.

Pros
  • All the advantages of induction and a large coil, the largest in this price segment. Large surface. Convenient operation, excellent high-tech design. The fan is not very noisy.
Cons
  • Whistling power supply components. Very distinct, nasty high-frequency squeak-whistling from the device even in standby mode. During operation, there is also a whistle and bounce of the PSU, of different frequencies, but it is already muffled by the fan. This problem is observed in all instances of the device that I have tested. The temperature sensor in the center of the stove is located above the control board and is not properly sealed, you need to either study the temperature conditions in the power mode (pictogram with a light) on your dishes well, or make sure that nothing boils away. It is better to remove the rubber side, so there is less chance that the boiled liquid will get inside.
