I bought these to replace several sets of old washing machine lights that I have installed above and below kitchen cabinets. We changed the color of the cabinets from golden oak to grey. The old fixtures were a warm yellowish color, so they didn't go well with the gray cabinets. We chose white light to complement the rest of the kitchen lighting. After spending so much money on a kitchen remodel, we didn't have much money to buy quality cabinet lights. The price of these lamps is quite reasonable, so I went for quality. We installed them in minutes since I already had holes in the cabinets. Big smiles as soon as we turned them on. So many things! We love the white color, the quality of the components, and how thin they are. There were enough cords that we had no problem placing them exactly where we wanted. The remote was not a purchase criterion for us, but we like it now that we have it. We like the ability to change the light intensity. The light is very bright on the high setting and very soft on the lowest setting, but still white. We liked them so much I ordered a second set for another set of cabinets we have. We love that even though the two sets of cabinets aren't linked, the remote control can control both sets of lights at the same time, so all the lights are the same intensity.
