Needed a small fan for a room without a ceiling fan. It was the right size and price. It does an excellent job of keeping the air moving in a medium sized bedroom and also helps keep the living room cool when our air conditioning can't handle 100 degree plus weather. I was disappointed by the fact that after less than a month, the side-to-side movement started making a creaking noise as it reached the edges and receded. Since we use it at night when we sleep, this problem is enough that I can't use this function (reducing airflow efficiency). The noise of the fan in general is audible, but it doesn't prevent me from sleeping in a stationary position at night. If I used it during the day it wouldn't bother me at all. I like that it has the ability to rotate wide up and down and side to side. It's easy and convenient to move around, and the cord is a decent length. If it weren't for the creaking I would love this fan.
