We had a kitchen that worked for about 14 years but eventually died. I use mine several times a week so it gets a lot of benefits. We bought one as a replacement and I realized how spoiled I was because the second wasn't as good as the first. We bought a third whose nylon gears wore out within three months. TAAAAAAA, we finally have KitchenAid and it's great! The button controls the speed which I like. The castle on the staff is good and strong and does not loosen like the second one. It has a guard so it doesn't ruin my non-stick pan and the included mug has a thin elastic band so it stays in place. We are very glad that we decided to be a kitchen helper.
