This is a great managed switch IF you have a reliable router. Some switches struggle to perform Layer 3 functions with sufficient speed. It is much easier. It doesn't have any level 3 features. If you're working with something like the ER4 that doesn't have a switch chip, this is a great companion. If you want internetwork VLANs to be handled natively, this is not the case. Set up your VLANS on the switch to match the router, and then do your work on the router. There are some nice gestures. You can limit the port speed, which can relieve the router's QoS. Otherwise it's nothing special. This is a switch. It's fast.
