Great Foglights with some work needed

These foglights are great for the price. But you get what you pay for, by that you have to splice some wires to get this kit to work.1. Splice the power cable to connect onto the battery.2. The wiring harness(Ground, Foglight switch, ignition power) to run through the firewall is too short and bulky. You will have to splice this onto a extension that way you will be able to run through the firewall.3. Last but not least you will have to splice the ignition power once you have gotten passed the firewall. Two ways to go at it is, 1) Find the ACC wire to splice and solder onto the factory harness. 2) Use a Fuse-Tap(Add on circuit) by splicing them together. The kit itself is great for someone who wants to avoid paying crazy dealership prices. I initially thought the only wire I had to splice was adding the Fuse-Tap. But you also have to buy the extension to run through the firewall and buy a conversion to splice the power cable to be able to connect onto the battery. At that point I didn't want to pay anymore just to have foglights. Thankfully I looked at the harness before attempting to work on my car. That way I didn't waste time taking my bumper off for nothing. Also if your attempting to do this be sure that the interior switch fits because there are some reviews stating that the switch doesn't fit. Best of luck and hope this helps anyone.

Pros
  • Good value
Cons
  • The frequency of use for fog lights varies depending on one's location and weather. Thus, some consumers may find this product irrelevant depending on their location
