Lasted about 4 years for me, plastic fracture in the pepper mill

I've had it for about 4 years. I am writing this review because there is a plastic part in the pepper mill that has failed after years of use. The pepper mill works without this part, but not as stable. This piece broke when I ground the peppers into chili. Who knows how much plastic ended up in the chili. I hope it's not poisonous.
