Nobody puts this kid in a broom closet; It seems silly but it looks like a mini work of art, a modern sculptural style instrument as it stands on its own - no pedestal. And it works even better than it looks! Imagine a shovel that catches and holds every blow. I bought this for my bedroom with hardwood floors - to give a quick sweep when needed so I don't have to fiddle with a brush or vacuum. Great for dog hair too, as the "rubber" lip on the scoop catches it all like magic! So much joy and so much to say about this little $9 wonder. *Love*
