Product Weather Protection

I'll start by living in Florida where the weather is warm even in winter. The usual trip to the grocery store and other activities must be carefully planned so as not to end up with spoiled or melted food. I've been taking a rigid foam fridge to events like this for years, but the problem is that it takes up a lot of space when not in use. You should either keep it at home when not in use, or constantly move it from place to place in your car while going about your normal business. I decided I needed a new alternative to my system. While I loved protecting my purchases from the weather, I had to move them out of the way when I needed room in the car for other items. I chose the Herculean Premium Insulated Food Delivery Bag. I didn't realize it was that big at first, but it came in really handy on my first trip to grocery and farmers markets. I did as usual, starting from the farthest place to go back. 9 a.m. at the farm shop, where I bought a lot of frozen food. I put them in the trunk of the Hercules for safekeeping and headed to the nearest store. I added some cold dishes at this stop and moved on to the next. More cold dishes and even some ice cream were added and we made our way to the last stop where we met someone not to buy things but to discuss. I was a bit nervous but when I checked the bag at the last stop the frozen food from the first stop was still frozen so we thought we were ok. We spent about 30 minutes at this last stop and then headed home. Less than 5 minutes. When we got home we started unboxing the Herculean and when I opened it up a stream of cold air came out. After carefully inspecting all items, everything was still cold and the frozen items were still frozen. Even the ice was hard. It had a bit of softness which you would expect from taking it out of the freezer for just a few minutes, but no more, it was still very firm. It was now 11:30am so the frozen items had been in the bag a little over 2 hours and apart from a little frost on the items they were still firm. Yes the temperature was a little colder than usual for Florida, it was about 78 degrees outside but still warm for cold food in the trunk. I've definitely found a replacement for my old styrofoam cooler and I love how it folds down into a very low profile that I can hide behind my seat or even stash stuff in the trunk. It's also very sturdy, with two small handles and a large shoulder strap, and it was big enough to carry my Sunday catch. Just for reference, on our first stop we put in 4 whole pieces of pork ribs, 2 dozen eggs, 2 pounds of chicken and a small pound of cheese. 2. Stop 10 pound block of cheese. 3. Stop 4 individual frozen meals, 1/2 gallon orange juice, a large package of yogurt, and 1/2 gallon ice cream. Yes we have other things too, it's just items that we put in the Herculean. There was still plenty of room for more stuff, so we'll definitely try it on our next trip.
