The goods are counterfeit. This and every "active" "two-channel" adapter has the same shape. They are all from the same manufacturer and don't actually support dual-link DVI. Basically they used a chip that doubled the speed at which data could be sent over a single link DVI, which in theory would give you the data rate of a dual link. The problem is that very few monitors support this additional addition to their DVI implementation and as such this will not work with most monitors that require dual link DVI to function. The only true dual-link DVI adapters cost around $60. -$80 with an extra USB port for power. The rest of them are scams, including Revain's own branded adapters. If you try to use it with a monitor that doesn't support the DVI implementation used by this adapter, you'll experience flickering, lines, odd colors, artifacts, and disconnects. renders the monitor unusable. Save money, time and nerves. Treat yourself to a true dual-channel adapter or get a new monitor.
