This worked well for the project I chose it for and I used it on both oilcloth and tape. It's been a few months now and the connection is still going strong. Tip for using these fabric sticks: the glue is opaque. So if you apply too much glue and it goes beyond the target area, there will be a large visible white spot. If I had to do this all over again I would practice using these sticks on a piece of fabric first before moving on to my actual project as I had some visible blemishes in the beginning when I calculated the thickness of the melted glue and the amount.
