Review on 🐦 Enhance Your Bird's Comfort with the JW Pet Comfy Perch: Flexible Multi-color Rope for Optimal Relaxation by Janelle Love

Perch of choice in my house.

It's important that your bird has multiple perches of different sizes and textures, but my birds still prefer the comfortable Booda perches to all others. I make sure to use one of these for the "sleeping seat" with every new cage configuration. They come in large enough sizes and lengths that you can do a lot with them in just about any cage size. Since these perches are made of rope, watch out for wear and trim any loose cords. It's easy for a bird to get snagged on your finger, and if you don't take care of it properly, you could come home with something really nasty. One of my birds NEVER vomits a perch at all, and hers looks brand new apart from the occasional stain she recently wiped her beak with. Another likes to shred their perches, so they are often trimmed and replaced. The only downside to these perches is that they are not as easy to clean as stone or plastic perches. I usually wash in the sink or in the dishwasher with hot water and no detergent. A washing machine disinfection cycle (again, without detergent) also works, but you'll probably want to add a few towels to reduce the noise.
