Earlier this summer another couple and I were in the parking lot of a large grocery store. A woman with a friend and children was blocked by the SUV. They had two shopping carts full of groceries. The woman only had one key, the one in the ignition. Our friend had Slim Jim but didn't want to risk ruining her front door without a key. We couldn't help them. If we had such a car tool kit, maybe we could open their door. When this kit became available to me, I decided to buy it. The kit arrived as described with all parts. There were no instructions included. But there are many online resources that will show you how to use these types of tools. I tried the Long Reach tool. I left the car unlocked and opened the door with inflatable wedges from the kit. I used the Long Reach tool over the top of the open window to see if I could open the door from the other side of the car. I was able to do this by pulling the door handle and pressing the unlock button. Pulling the door handle was easy. Pressing the unlock button was more difficult. This set contains tools for opening car doors using different methods. The Long Reach Tool is nearly 65 inches long, which is more than adequate for most vehicles. Handle and end are rubberized for better grip and protection of vehicle parts. Four steel elements are screwed into the couplers to achieve the full length. It was difficult for me to unscrew all the parts by hand once they were screwed into the couplers. This is something you'd like to have on hand. You never know when you'll need to use it.
