In my opinion this is a superior product compared to the OE sliding window. To be fair, the original equipment screen lasted about seven years with heavy use, but the screen's wire eventually became severely corroded, began to break, and screen fragments began to interfere with the sliding of the outer vent door. The new replacement was very reasonably priced (about a quarter the price of an original Green Egg replacement) and I believe it will last much longer with perforated mesh instead of screen wire. In addition, I was able to replace the ventilation grille in a few minutes without tools. I highly recommend this product.
