This is a reliable replacement for the original BGE strainer (I have a large BGE). The only thing I would like to change is to add rubberized tips to the sliding handles, just like the original sliding screen. I couldn't give it a 5 for ease of installation just because I have it in my BGE socket and the BGE had to be rotated in the socket a little to make room for the installation (really a BGE design flaw). I removed my egg and put it on the table for better use as the frame was about 1/8 inch closer at the top and bottom the middle of the arch. Tried everything, even smoothing, but still the same problem. As a result, I just used the original frame with a new screen and door. I removed the old silicone and used J&B 500 grade silicone when I reinstalled and let it dry overnight. Looking forward to grilling later today with my new air vent. I bought these for my Medium Big Green Egg. Installation was easy. The Phillips screwdriver loosened the screws on the outside while I held the inside nuts with my other hand. No wrench or socket wrench required. After that all I did was rub the spot, put the door over the hole, put the bolts/washers through the door and all four holes into the egg, put the washers and nuts on the studs from the inside and hand tightened.
