Since using this I've read reviews on here that I should have read before buying. This machine is well marketed by Graco. I believed in their products and years of experience. It was interesting to see 2 or 3 stars for a work that the reviewers obviously didn't like. So good. Love the idea of a foldable bag and the ability to not have to clean everything immediately after use for use later in the day. Poorly. This is a terrible sprayer. Both spray tips are .015" in diameter, which is all Graco makes for them. There won't be a nice finish. It's a dumb drawing tool. Pulsing, he throws paint at the target. This leaves an orange peel appearance. I've been a house painter for many years and at first I thought I was, but I'm not. I prepared the room for painting the baseboard and door jambs. I spent a lot of time fixing and sanding everything smooth while waiting for a professional high gloss finish. It was a disaster. If you're moving fast enough that there aren't any runs, and it works if a part gets more than 1 really fast pass. I used PPG's Breakthrough Alkyd Gloss Enamel which is $75 a gallon high quality paint that dries quickly and can be used on cabinets in other spray equipment. Not here. What a mess. I bought the VSP because I thought it would give me more precise control. It just speeds up (runs) or slows down (sprays) the mess, not the sweet spot. After letting it dry, I sanded it down and tried again. These are the days I'll never get back. Time, effort, money for paint, material and sprayer. Certainly a bad mark in terms of overall performance. I should have spent more money on a higher quality syringe. So I'm not sure where this sprayer fits in. The photos on the box show a latex wall and fence. But where sprayers shine is when there are no brushes on objects, cabinets, furniture, baseboards, etc. I should have bought a better syringe. Bad taste in mouth, maybe a competing brand would be better. Sorry, I really wanted this to work. I would like to leave a glowing review for a wonderful experience.
