I don't have surgical grade stainless steel. Due to skin sensitivity to other metals/alloys I have to use surgical grade stainless steel for all my piercings. I was hoping this was what I needed but they irritate my ears so much. I can't use them for more than a few days without taking them out. Not to mention the brownish-black coating peeling off around the carving. No matter how many times I clean them, I can't get rid of them. Is that the manufacturing process or do they rust? I do not know. I don't really like them and wouldn't recommend them to anyone with the occasional metal sensitivities. But if your skin doesn't hate you, then they might suit you! Rschunimagu
