I've used this product for 2 gigabytes and haven't had to change batteries yet! I don't usually leave them running that long but wanted to see what battery life to expect from mics and I wasn't disappointed. I usually change the batteries in my wireless guitar system after two gigs, so I plan to do the same with the mics. They sound great up front and for the price you can't ask for better. Whilst there are other wireless mics out there that cost 5-7x more this to me offers the best bang for your buck and I would recommend these to any band they are that good and the proof is in the pudding so speak up. Update: after using this system for 6 months it still works perfectly! It has never let me down and I am very happy with the reliability of the system. I know that if there's ever a problem, the support people will no doubt take care of it, and that part of the mind is worth its weight in gold. I've been using Shure mics for live performance for over 40 years and the PTU-5000 is the best! I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone performing in a band, they are that good!
