Review on Bussmann RB-BI-70A: High-Performance 70 Amp Battery Isolator for Optimal Electrical Efficiency by Colin Arcos

Several pages of installation information are included with the unit. This was important to me as I was creating a new configuration. Installation was electrically simple; Mechanically it wasn't that easy because of the car and not because of the insulation. I was a little surprised that the voltage drop across the diodes was about 0.6 volts (silicon?). I thought schottky diodes could be used but there are probably other issues such as: B. Transients that would make this solution less desirable. And one more thing: pay attention to the sharp edges of the slats. No operational problems, but a few yips during installation.
