Do not buy this speaker, there are better and cheaper ones out there

I bought this speaker to replace my JBL Flip 4 which I gave to my sister. I was attracted by the high quality streaming and the cool lighting. While the lights definitely met my expectations, the sound fell short. By default, it's very bass-heavy and low frequencies tend to blend with higher frequencies. It sounds ok for hip hop rap and electronic music (and even the genres I don't prefer) but falls completely apart when you want to listen to virtually anything else. It completely destroys every mid-range detail. The top end is very harsh because it tires the ears after prolonged listening. All in all, this sound signature is a big hurdle for me, which is why I sent it back. I would recommend the less expensive LG Xboom pk 5 speaker, which has a higher resolution for streaming, incredibly good sound signature, and costs me about $20 less. I can't recommend it more highly. All that said, this speaker isn't that terrible, but there are plenty of better options at similar prices, so I'd suggest skipping this one. Have fun shopping!
