My 3 and 4 year olds have backpacks for elementary school kids and we need them to be functional for our upcoming trip across the country. I didn't want the straps to fall off her shoulders on a crazy airport run. Enter these buckles. Very strong buckles and straps. Very adjustable. I sewed the "tails" to keep them from slipping off and not hanging out. My seams unravel easily if I need to repair them with a seam ripper in the future. Just what I needed to make their pockets more secure. Both can unzip them on their own, so I'd say they're suitable for toddlers.
