I'm so glad I decided to buy these outlets exclusively for African countries. My mom bought a "universal" adapter and scolded me and asked why I bought another when we can share what she has. Find out! I guess my solution became the preferred one when she realized she couldn't charge her phone and I was happily charging my phone and other electronics without having to bother with it. We have toured three countries in West Africa and I had access to all outlets, of course I 'shared' the bliss with my mother. Better safe than sorry as it seems like African countries didn't think of generics when making their product, but I'm glad I found this!
