I bought these because I figured it would be more beneficial to wear gloves when doing things like working on my car rather than cleaning up grease, dirt and other weird, unpronounceable toxins with soap water to wash from my hands. . And what's more, even after washing your hands with soap and water, it still smells funny. So now I use them when I work on my car and they work well and are pretty tear resistant. They are easy to put on and take off. And they're out of the way and I can still tighten screws and bolts with my fingers and feel like I'm wearing those gloves when I drop those @#$ screws.
