I received this in the mail and needed it to connect my headphones to my new Bose speakers. Bose speakers have a headphone jack right at the front. My headphone jack is (obviously) USB. I plugged it into the speaker jack and it just didn't work. I tried plugging it into the headphone jack on the front of the computer and still nothing. I've changed the settings with no success. The headphones didn't even register on my PC and there was no connection error. I don't know if it's a bad adapter or if I'm missing something else. It cost less than $6.00 so don't worry about sending it back. Plantronics headphones.
