Nearly great docking station, causes Bluetooth interference and disables AirPods

This should have been my favorite USB-C extender but when plugged in it invokes Bluetooth and frequently disables my AirPods. They play for 1-2 seconds and then turn off. I thought it might have something to do with the OS X software, but when I unplugged the dock I noticed that everything was working fine. It is imperative that this deficiency be remedied.
