Short version: stop searching and buy this board. I have been rowing for over 7 years and have several rigid boards and 4 inflatable boats. For a high performance inflatable board you would have to spend at least twice as much on something like the Xterra I have. In this price range, however, you can't go wrong with this board. Actually I bought two. It also comes with a leash so save a few bucks. Inflating: The hand pump that comes with this board is better than others I have. It inflates the same way it deflates, but you'll still work out. And if you are an ordinary woman, it will be difficult at best. My wife is strong and she has problems. I prefer the electric pump, which you can buy for $70 here at Revain. I can only recommend that. Be sure to inflate this board to a maximum pressure of 15psi. That extra pound or two per square inch makes a world of difference on the water. If you lose some air while tightening the hose, refill it. Riding: Unless you are very tall and heavy, this board is ideal for beginners (check the carrying capacity). We train our new friends on these boards before transitioning them to a solid board. If they want to fall or paddle to their knees, an inflatable board is better than a rigid one. Slightly more pointed than many inflatables so it cuts through the water better. As you become more experienced and want to move faster, large bow inflatables will hold you back. We have one and we call it Bus. 3 fins ensure a more direct board movement, especially for beginners. 32 inches is the maximum width I would recommend. They don't follow in a straight line and also increase the chances of you falling off the side. Paddles: Like all paddles that come with inflatable boats, they suck. Invest a few bucks in a carbon fiber or fiberglass adjustable BPS paddle available here at Revain. You will not regret it. Overall, in this price range, this is a board I would recommend. This is a really fun, stable board. Have fun and stay safe. Wear an ankle strap and a life jacket or a belted life jacket. I am an excellent swimmer, have been rowing for 7 years and have never rowed a waist vest and leash.
