I never thought I would use anything other than my finger to apply and spread wood glue. I saw these somewhere and since I was about to do a project that involved quite a bit of gluing I took a chance. Boy am I glad I did that. I keep a glass of water nearby and apply the glue from the bottle, then I smear it with one of them. I drop it in the water between uses and just shake it once or twice to get rid of the water before using it again the same day. At the end of the day I take it out of the water and rub it down a bit with a rag and that's it. It's so nice not having to brush your fingers all day. Yes, and once I forgot about it and left as if I had run out of water and uncleaned. The next day I was able to take a ball of hardened glue and bend it a few times. With silicone "bristle" he came out immediately without any problems.
