-- Pre Pedal Commander -- My 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk 2.4L was one of those things that I was hoping would somehow stop being underwater on credit so I could exchange it. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice and comfortable car. That was the end, because driving was no longer fun, and the delay between putting my foot on the pedal and finally starting the car sometimes seemed like I had let fate take the wheel. Getting onto the interstate where most other drivers were already going over 80 mph was dangerous and sometimes gave me goosebumps until I got up to speed. -- Installation -- Installation took no more than 10 minutes -- The biggest problem I had was figuring out how to unplug the accelerator pedal connector so I could turn on the Pedal Commander. . . [Tip: If you look under the dash and look at the top of the gas pedal you will see the connector and it has a dark brown/burgundy plastic piece that you can see fairly easily. Grasp the left and right sides of the connector and gently pull it toward you. Once it starts to move a little, you can reach your fingernail or something small near the side facing you to stop pulling --- then just lift the plug. Connection on the top of the pedal. Repeat in reverse order for the Pedal Commander jack. -- Result -- I want to keep my Renegade! The pickup I'm testing is unlike anything I've ever experienced in my Renegade. It's like owning a brand new car and it's a pleasure to drive! I currently have a set for the City 3. A few months ago I tested a 2018 Jeep Compass and was surprised that they have the same engine and transmission as the Renegade, but the software has been tweaked so there is less lag . pretty much gone. My Renegade with Pedal Commander seems to have even more lift now than the 2018 Jeep Compass I tested. Honestly, in all the honesty of the world, I'm so happy with my Renegade now, and it's all thanks to Pedal Commander. I'm so impressed! This is how my Renegade should have been from the day I bought it!
