Magic Oil in Oils

I have been using castor oil compresses for over 30 years. I use the small size that Baar sells. It doesn't have to be too big, just measure from the belly button to the bottom of the left rib. I often cut packs into smaller sizes when using for other parts of the body, any issue that would benefit from increased blood and lymph flow. The whole idea is that oil absorbs and lubricates like any oil; it helps bring nutrition to the area via the bloodstream and remove waste products via the lymphatic system; simplified explanation. I'm not a doctor. It is good to use a heating pad and fix it with a towel folded lengthwise or a FREE bandage. Can also be used without a heating pad. I know people who put on a bag, loosely wrap it in plastic wrap, and sleep with it through the night. Haven't tried it, but body heat drives the oil in like a heating pad. Although it will probably take a little longer. The quality of Baar products is excellent. It's not even difficult for me to remove it from my skin. Just be sure to protect your linens. I bought a shower curtain that I only use for castor oil compresses. Cheap and good protection. As a consolation I put an old towel on it. But this way I can use a lot of oil and not have to worry about leaks. Castor oil is the best remedy for bumps and bruises that babies are prone to. They know how they always fall on or against things when they are learning to walk. You can even put a small drop on the child's forehead and the child will not cry. It works faster than ice and relieves pain immediately. Of course, I'm not advocating neglecting professional medical care in the event of a serious injury. I'm talking about cuts and bumps. If you are a beginner, be sure to purchase one of the helpful books on the subject to learn more about the many uses of this wonderful oil. And honestly? I try things that aren't in the books. Never seems to make things worse! Just better!
