Strip cutting. The strip can be cut but only has 2 solder pins. Mine were evenly spaced and perfect for a 55-75 inch TV (not including the bottom) but I can't promise you those two points are evenly distributed across all bands. You can trim the strip in about 6-8 places on the strip, but there are no copper contact points at each trim mark. You could probably peel off the top layer to get to the copper, but if there are cut lines, they should be solder joints. The controller is top notch, it works with the Yeelight app as well as very quickly with IOT integrations like Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT. This makes it worth the small surcharge compared to generics. It has a unique color palette. It's really good for yellow, not so good for turquoise, has a wider range of pink. In the group with Yeelight bulbs it is not color balanced, I can approximate the white color but from the color screen and not from the preset temperature on the white screen. Loading favorites from my yeebulbs doesn't give me the same color on the bar. My ifttt setup with Yeelight works entirely with scenes, so it's not a problem for me as I've been going through my scenes and creating new favorite tracks to customize. If you used Alexa to set a color for it, this could be an issue. Not my favorite Yeelight product but this is a genuine Yeelight product so I'm happy. I really want the Yeelight RGBWW strip. I would also pay $20 just for an RGB controller from them just for the speed of integration and the stability of the Wi-Fi connection.
