Time will tell: Hooks for home storage
Although I fully understand that they are intended for indoor use and that the vinyl cover is primarily intended for that is to protect the hook from scratches the handles of mugs, it drove me insane that the outdoor hooks I leave in place for the Christmas lights rust all year round and become uncomfortable, even though I'm in an extreme mild climate (Northern California). It's too early to tell, but the hope is that the vinyl sleeve can protect the metal of the hook from the elements and not be an eyesore. Having white siding on the house, I can tell you how much I like that it "disappears" from view as opposed to metal siding.
