We love the portability of this sound machine. The volume is loud. The hook is great for hanging over the car seat or crib. The battery life is long enough to leave on overnight (9-10 hours).It recharges quickly, but I do not recommend leaving plugged in overnight because it glows very brightly (too bright for us as we hang it over the crib). There is also a light at the top that shines when the unit is on — again, too bright for us so I covered it with black electrical tape. The biggest drawback is the loud clicking whenever you change the volume (don’t attempt to change volume next to a sleeping infant!).Overall a great product, but be aware of the bright lights as well as the loud clicking with volume changes if you’re sleep training!
