Ettore Brass Scraper 10012 exceeded my expectations. It arrived on time, very well packaged and in perfect condition. Unlike a mop commonly used to clean windshields, the Ettore has a soft rubber blade with a square edge that allows it to flex. This proved to be an important feature when I was cleaning the second floor windows in my home with the Ettore 16ft Extension (highly recommended). I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to apply enough pressure when the rod is fully extended to get the squeegee working properly. It actually worked flawlessly due to the soft flexible edge. I was able to clean the windows in no time, but most importantly I didn't have to climb any stairs to clean the upstairs windows. One caveat to cleaning the top windows with a pole: Because the pole was fully extended and at a fairly slight angle to the window, I was only able to remove the bottom half of the window up to about 3 inches from the bottom due to interference with the sill. I was able to easily clean this area from the inside. I used a solution of 1 teaspoon dish soap to 2 gallons water which cleaned well and left no streaks. I applied the solution with an Ettore washable microfiber scrubber (also highly recommended). In short, I am very satisfied with the product and its effectiveness. It was worth the money I spent switching to window cleaning with a mop. It works better than aerosol cleaners and paper towels in a fraction of the time and is significantly safer thanks to the lack of a ladder. I definitely recommend this product. .
