Review on High-powered 36V Golf Cart Battery Charger with Crowfoot Connection for Enhanced Performance by Logan Broadnax

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for seniors! in Golf Cart Accessories

When our previous 36V golf cart charger died, it was time to find a new one. The old one was big and heavy, it was a chore to lift and move. And it created a loud HUMMMM! This charger caught my attention with its 13 pound weight and universal AC input (110 to 240 volts). It was a switched-mode power supply without the heavy and noisy iron-core power transformer. The small fan makes a soft "whistle" that you can sit next to and keep talking! The charger is equipped with an ON-OFF switch on the front. The charger arrived on time and works as advertised. We have been using it for about a month, the result is excellent. UPDATE - AS OF OCTOBER 2014, STILL WORKS. In 2014 I made the mistake of using this charger in temperatures of 100°F and in bright sunlight. He tripped and tripped the 15 amp circuit breaker on that circuit! Reset the breaker. Take the charger inside and let it cool down. When it cooled down I put it back in the car and it recharges! We use a Crowfoot connector with two angled blades that fit a US 30 amp dry outlet commonly found on older golf carts (like our 1973 Otis). ).
