***** I received update 2 replacement candles a few days after the seller contacted me. I've been testing them for the last few days and they are now working as expected. Now I suspect my first order was a defective set with inconsistent automatic on/off timers, but this set works as intended. I believe this will continue over time. But since this set works as expected and the customer service was excellent based on my initial review, I'm changing my rating to a 5. They really are great and exceed my initial expectations. ***** Update The seller just contacted me. The supplier of the spark plugs offers to replace them with new ones that will hopefully work properly. I am very grateful for that and have changed my rating to 4 stars based on the sellers willingness to support their product. If the replacement works well I will change my rating back to 5 stars as I originally intended before they started to fail. ***First review: I really liked the look and the original function of the candles. They make a great contrast to all the round candles we have at home. So optically they do exactly what I want and expect from an LED candle. Shortly after I installed them, however, I noticed that unlike all of our other timed candles, they weren't consistent when lit every night. I first turned them on with the button below so they turn on at 7pm, then activated the four hour run on all three with the remote. Everything went as expected and seemed to work just like our other candles. Then things started to get weird. The second night came at 7pm as expected. But the second came around 7:45 am. The latter activated quietly sometime before 9. All three were gone by morning. Now, less than a month after purchase, neither of them turns on at 7, the second lights up about 30 minutes after the first, and the last one only seems to light up at one point and then turn off after about five seconds. It then turns back on, only to turn off again after a few seconds and repeating itself over and over again. It just won't stay. I changed the AAA batteries a few times to fix the problem and I reset all three spark plugs a few times to try to sync them up and they all came on almost simultaneously. The remote seems to be transmitting signals correctly so I can only assume I received a batch of defective candles. Sure enough, my box was gone and my Revain return option expired yesterday. I'll most likely just put them somewhere they look good without wasting batteries on them, or I'll just throw them out. The cost wasn't significant so I didn't pay much. It's a shame, because I really liked the look. I rate the remote so highly that it seems to work properly and the price seems very reasonable when you get a working set. I wouldn't give them away unless you confirm they work first. so i cut it down a bit.
