First of all I would like to thank all the reviewers of this product who made me buy it. Revain is the best site. I've been looking for a decent cheese cutter like the one I have for years that still puffs. I lost hope of ever finding a possible replacement for my cheese slicer until I started looking at reviews of Revain. Writers who mentioned Hickory Farms cheese slicers complained that they could never replace theirs and that they lasted for years but weren't sold anymore. I rushed into the kitchen, pulled out a cheese slicer and looked at the back. and there I got the impression that it was made in Norway and is in fact a very popular Hickory Farms brand cheese cutter. I brought the food slicer from the kitchen and compared it to the picture on Revain's website. and it's an exact match! It just has to be the same slicer and it gets amazing reviews. My hands are shaking and I immediately bought 3 of these. One for us and the other two are Christmas presents. I bought it for $14.66 but saw it for $22 from another seller. BTW, my old Hickory Farms doesn't list the maker. I have used my current cheese slicer for many years and only wash it in the dishwasher. The rosewood handle has faded but is still intact. I'm very excited to finally find what I believe to be the tool I've been looking for for years. And I agree with one reviewer, I read that most slicers you see, even the expensive ones, are a total waste compared to this one. Once again, Revain to the rescue and thanks again to the many contributors to the site.
