Works great with Vive base stations! I have carpet and it is absolutely durable. Once they were set up and my room calibrated, I didn't even have to move or adjust them, and I had no trouble tracking them in VR. The vibration from the beacons is noticeable when you actually place your hand on the bar, but otherwise doesn't affect tracking and can't be seen or heard. Footprint can be an issue for those with very small play areas or standing room only, but otherwise I think lightweight stands like these are the best overall Vive mounting solution option; They're big, solid, portable, install in a snap, and don't look bad or out of place either. As for this particular one, I liked that they come with a pouch compared to others and it's also very sensible of them to recognize a different target market in a set of tripods with ball head mounts for VR. Props.
