This is a rather expensive watch, not that pleasant to the touch, to use or to look at. This is a fairly expensive heart rate monitor that is accurate enough for its purpose. The cool thing is that it has built-in GPS, which is handy for measuring distance and updating the watch automatically. The buttons get pressed by the sleeve of my coat or pinched by my body when I wear the display on the inside of my wrist. This causes it to do activities like running and embarrassing or annoying beeps when I'm in public or doing something. The controls for ending activities and going to the main watch screen are confusing at best. Don't expect it to work with open source software, at least I couldn't. My phone thought it could successfully pair it with Bluetooth without the Garmin software, but then the watch failed the process and prompted me to install the software. I was really hoping to use this with RunnerUp as this app supports sensors like heart rate monitors. While it's not the watch's fault, after installing the app and pairing it with my phone, the barrage of pointless notifications from CNN and Fox news and email spam basically made me turn off notifications . Installing nice/beautiful/informative watch faces is a great idea, but they are basically "apps" on the watch and the ones I've tried shouldn't be well designed as they make the watch less sensitive to user controls. I find it so borderline that I would probably leave them and accept that I don't like them, but I would never recommend them. to anyone or bother to replace it.
