I would say this is a very reliable, lightweight basic/standard glue gun for crafts. It's simple and to the point and not too big. I find it practical and useful for projects with my child. We make crafts out of cardboard, it will come in handy. I love that the tip isn't just hot metal, just the tip, which I feel is safer around my kids. I accidentally bought 200 packs of glue sticks that needed a glue gun of this size - check the size that fits your glue gun before buying a huge pack of glue sticks or you might end up buying another glue gun like me. tat :) If you're looking for a glue gun, also consider whether you want it to be cordless - sometimes that's important!
