Works as is should and it can in fact handle 60W. That was my biggest concern as I'm using this for one of those extremely bright and bulky 4 winged LED garage lights. I would not try exceeding 60W though. A little overpriced, but this one works. I had to refund a cheaper model here on Walmart that stopped working.
