Review on Rightline Gear 100B90 Cargo Saddlebag by Jathan Louis

So bad it's funny

We bought this crap to carry clothes in vacuum bags for storage. At just 84 pounds from a claimed 100 pound rating, it sagged and warped, looking more like a sack full of cats than a pristine item in a product photo. We stopped for the night and had to take this thing off because there is no protection - it's just a zip, velcro and three quick release straps. Speaking of straps, they're confusing. One of the hooks was on the back. Another review here says it takes a while to set it up the first time. To which I add: And every time after that. The straps came undone causing the bag to sag even more. On the second day it started to rain, further weakening the straps. We stopped every 2 hours to pull them up. That evening we lugged a piece of junk into a motel room and discovered that the 100% waterproof claim is also a lie. Below was a gallon of water the color of dirt from the street. And yes, the Lying company that sells this snake oil, we installed it exactly to your instructions. After cleaning the motel room floor, we couldn't toss the bag of shit in the trash can fast enough. Oh, and the same company makes trunks. We saw it on the car during our trip. He began to tear in the wind. In short: look elsewhere for products made by this company.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
