When I put the shirt on straight out of the bag, it fit me beautifully. I did choose the size based on my current shirt size. A 1X in this shirt says that it accommodates a size 22 to 24, which is what I currently wear. So yes, the shirt fit beautifully when I put it on. Now ask me how it fit after I washed and dried it! I can no longer wear this shirt after washing and drying. Not only did the arms shrink and diameter but the length shrunk significantly as well. Shirt is completely tight whereas it was almost big on me before. I will buy this again in a larger size because it's exactly what I need, but BE WARNED - SHIRT SHRINKS AFTER DRYING!
