Generally a good buy. Door Size: 24" wide door, standard build quality depth. Problem: The template requires some work. I'm size XL for a medium sized cat.) At first I was shocked at the size, it seemed exaggerated. YET I haven't compared it to my cats (who are medium sized house cats). Pooh! The size was good. I can't imagine how petite size L would be, it would be an instant comeback. While setting everything up to cut out the door using the stencil, I remembered a couple of reviews showing how terribly wrong the stencil is. I made the necessary adjustments (I hope you can see the sample image with my pen marks to show the discrepancy). The template is wider than it should be, so be careful. After adjusting the template, tracing and cutting our door worked well, thanks to my template the insert fits perfectly! I attached it by laying a wide strip down the front of the kitty, peeling off the self-adhesive backing paper, and then slipping it through the cut hole in the front of the door. Then I prepared the velcro for the tail and slowly inserted the wide strip into the channel on the tail side. Once everything was set, I pinched the kitten's face and tail together to help with the glue. So far so good and cats use it just fine.
