Six of the six fairy lights don't light up. Once the lid is partially screwed into the can, the light will turn off. Shake the jar and they start again, maybe or not. My guess is that the thin wire going to the battery mechanism is shorted. They burn well as long as you let the jar lean upside down on the lid :(. Also, the threads on the jar's lid aren't great for Mason jars, they tend to screw on the side. I've tried Mason and Kerr jars I've had and other strings of these lights - none of them are very durable but these are by far the worst! At least a couple of the ones I bought last summer are still working.
