Excellent garlands are best for fairy lights

Love these garlands! They fit easily in my mason jars and didn't last long. After reading other reviews I decided to put a plastic bag on the solar panel part to protect it from water and it looks like an old fashioned glass lid. The lights turn on/off automatically and they all worked great.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • No instructions

Nice! for garlands

I LOVE these flower bulbs. Used in quart size Mason jars and they have been fine. IMHO they are too light sensitive. I wanted them to turn on at dusk, so we had to close the sensor before dark. In addition, the threads of some caps are "unscrewed", which makes it difficult to screw them in. It wouldn't be a big deal other than the on/off switch is inside. However, I plan to buy more.

  • Nice packaging

Solar energy can really work!

I fill these in narrow neck Mason jars and they work great. I just plugged them in, put a string of lights in the jar, attached a hanger and screwed them onto the jar. I put them in the sun for half a day and they charged right away. I hung them on Sheppard hooks to mark the aisle for my son's outdoor wedding. Now they mark the outer edge of our fire. I like that they can be watered and still work.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Gorgeous Solar Lights: String Lights

I love these solar lights. They have 30 LEDs compared to 10 or 20 in most available ones. I bought six of these a year ago and only one is starting to fail. I have them on my patio so they come every night. They last for hours, I've actually never seen them go off. When I wanted to order another set I went back to my Amazon story and was glad I could order from the same person and get the same item. They were delivered very quickly. This is a great product and the seller shipped it to me twice…

  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • too dumb

The hangers are too small for a regular mason jar

Reviews that these hangers are too small are true. They will not fit in a regular sized mason jar. The instructions state that attaching hangers can be difficult and requires "dexterity". Unfortunately, making things bigger than they really are isn't my ability. The only way they fit is to make the hangers bigger or make the mason jar neck smaller. I returned them. The lights seem to work, but without the right hangers they are useless. I haven't had this problem with other brands, but the…

Mason Jar Lights - Outdoor Lighting

These are more yellow bulbs (I have some blue ones too). I like these lights very much. I have several on the porch; However, they don't get enough light in this far north location) and some in the backyard where they see sunlight most of the day. The ones in the backyard glow merrily every night and sometimes until morning. When I was young I loved catching fireflies and putting them in a jar and it reminds me of those times. Of course, they don't flash like real bugs (and yes, after enjoying…

Careful unpacking. Use only in summer.

Be careful when untangling. I find it best to unravel them completely and then feed them into a mason jar. Otherwise, they will retain their spiral nature and not take up all of the space in the jar. Also, make sure the lid is tight on the jar to prevent rainwater from getting inside. I also recommend bringing them indoors during the winter months. According to Luther, a white film begins to form on the upper part, which stops the battery from charging. However, after a few years, don't expect…

Pros
  • also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Don't waste your time and money

Six of the six fairy lights don't light up. Once the lid is partially screwed into the can, the light will turn off. Shake the jar and they start again, maybe or not. My guess is that the thin wire going to the battery mechanism is shorted. They burn well as long as you let the jar lean upside down on the lid :(. Also, the threads on the jar's lid aren't great for Mason jars, they tend to screw on the side. I've tried Mason and Kerr jars I've had and other strings of these lights - none of them

Pros
  • Same as all before
Cons
  • So-so

The warm lights are amazing, love the cans for my RV and patio table.

These are great for RV's and camping as you don't need to turn them on and turn on the lights before bed with solar charging. They don't last past 6am, but you can turn them off until you need them. Ordered a bright white to see the difference with the warm light, some kids are funky twirling with a dollar top but just play with it. Very happy, read the instructions as I didn't know how to pull the plastic out of the solar panels and then turn them on, was in too much of a rush to see if they…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
