I chose this oven after reading all the reviews about it and competing models. Here's what I liked: - the size of the hob - the ability to use propane tanks or portable tanks - low price. concerned about: - the durability of the control knob The stove comes mostly assembled, you just have to rearrange the burner cover, insert the stone, screw on the front panel, attach the thermometer, regulator and hose; and finally the oven door handle. Connect to a propane tank and you're done - it takes no more than five minutes. I think I understand why some people have issues with the control knob: it combines throttle, safety cutoff and piezo ignition. You have to turn it to the "on" position, wait until you hear gas coming, then turn it a little further to fire the igniter - and hold the button down until all three burners light up. If not, the gas will shut off (this is a safety feature). It took me a few tries to figure out how it works. Even on a fairly cold evening (50F) the stove heated up to 530F in just a few minutes; The pizza is ready in less than four minutes and absolutely delicious. I've used it four times and each time we comment on how great this great value oven is. Don't forget to buy a pizza peel, an infrared thermometer and a brush to clean the stone; and use semolina liberally to prevent sticking to the shell or stone. Highly recommended! Update - the oven is 7 months old and I had an issue with a knob that was very hard to turn. I called support and immediately got a representative who patiently walked me through troubleshooting and sent me replacement parts free of charge. I would like to add an extra star for the exceptional customer service. Great product, great company! Update - a few years later and I *LOVE* this oven! It took a while but now my pizza is really good and friends always ask for it. This little oven may be cheap, but it works very well and is durable - and the manufacturer really stands behind their product. I can't recommend it more highly.
