We've had the FoodSaver vacuum sealer for more years than I can remember and it still works, but I took the opportunity to try this Anova model to test anyway. If I were really looking for a vacuum sealer on the market I would do some research to determine the following: 1) What are the 6-7 cheapest models available? 2) which of them seem to be of the highest quality and buy them. I then spent the money to get the best (rolled or pre-cut) bags I could. It is the packaging that decides whether your products are tasty after 6 months in the freezer.
