Apparently it works just by bringing it home. My teens "plugged" the toilet at least twice a week for 10 years until I showed them this new Corky 99-4A flask, and then it miraculously stopped. I mean in the 2 weeks I've owned it I haven't had a single blockage and that's a BIG record. I was also looking forward to trying it out. We now have Kohler Cimarron toilets and NO OTHER plunger will work with them. I'm pretty sure I've tried them all. The toilet flush works fine though. "Kamshchiki", as we like to call them, could easily clog old toilets twice as often. These toilets flooded the top floor every time. That doesn't happen with the new Cimarron toilets. Gone are the days when everyone ran around the house in a panic, screaming and looking for towels. Although cimarrons clog half as often and never sink, they are very hard to sink into when they clog. That's a pretty fair deal in my book. The lack of flooding and half plugs was a really good thing so the toilets will definitely stay. Anyway, I finally read somewhere that Kohler recommends this plunger for those nice toilets. My preliminary testing seems to indicate that the plunger will actually work pretty well, but since it seems to work just having it at home, I'm starting to think I'll never know for sure. Stay with us. UPDATE: Confirmed! This plunger works better than any other I've tried on my Kohler Cimarron toilets. YUP! LATEST UPDATE: Buy this flask with confidence. After a few months of ownership this is definitely a keeper.
